Story: A typical masala potboiler, the story is about two twins who are born at a difference of ninety seconds. For some reason, both the twins tend to find each other repulsive and their hatred grows for each other as they grow. Unable to take it, the elders decide to keep the elder one with the uncle while the younger one stays back with the parents. The elder twin grows up to be Appu (Mammootty) who is a noisy, 'I love trouble' material and has already got an enemy in the form of Dharmarajan (Rajan P Dev) while his niece Thenmozhi (Lakshmi Rai) is crazy about Appu. On the other hand, the second twin goes out to be Achu (Mammootty again) who is and is the victim of all pranks and pathetic treatment of all. However, he has his understanding wife Lekshmi (Gopika) and both of them help his father Ravunni (Janardhanan) in etching out roles and characters of Puranas as he holds a Ballet theatre group. However, the extreme repulsion never subsides between the two twins and things take a messy turn when the baddies hatch a plan and create a misunderstanding between the two which leads to Appu and Achu longing for each other's throats and see each other dead. But then like any other cinema, the confusion is cleared just before the climax and both brothers become one to take on the villains.

Presentation: The director has come up with a routine subject but then he was clear with his message that he is looking at a pure masala entertainer with not much of logic or common sense attached to it. The narration was racy and the presentation was good which kept the movie on a tight rope and the screenplay and script have been prepared in such a way to suit the situation. The music has been good at few instances but no great songs to carry home. Editing could have been better and the camera was good at capturing all colors and the glamour. Mammootty was excellent again in his dual role and his efficiency need not be explained, Gopika gave the nativity touch while Lakshmi Rai came up with the ample doses of glamour. Rajan Dev as the baddie was evil enough while the others like Suraj, Harishree Ashokan, Kunjan added a lot of value to the story.

Conclusion: The entire movie runs on a predictable note but its plus point lied in the way it has been treated, there was enough comedy to appeal the front benchers and the audience does not get bored at any instant. A ridiculous thing was the climax which looked childish but then the overall outcome of the film was so perfect that this can be given a grace. The film is a 100% commercial entertainer and there is no doubt in saying that it will hit the jackpot at the box office.
